Nicolae-Sorin Drăgan is PhD in the field of Communication Sciences (since September 2017); FCRP postdoctoral fellow (2020-2021); member-representative for Romania in the Executive Board of IASS/AIS (September 2019-present); vice-president of the Romanian Association of Semiotic Studies (AROSS), responsible for international cooperation; affiliate member of the International Association for Semiotic Studies (IASS/AIS), the Nordic Association for Semiotic Studies (NASS) and the International Society for Intermediate Studies (ISIS); international cooperation coordinator of the Applied Semiotics Laboratory (ASCL) and Communication (FCRP), affiliated to the Communication Research Center (CRC), FCRP, founding member of ASCL; founder, co-organizer, conference chair and member of the Scientific Committee of the International Conference series Semiosis in Communication. Since February 2016 he collaborates as a professor with the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations (FCRP), where he teaches the History of Political Communication seminar, and from February 2021 he collaborates as a professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Public Relations, Faculty of Philosophy and Social-Political Sciences, "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iași (UAIC), Iași, holder of the Art of Public Debate and Persuasive Strategies courses. His areas of interest include the history of political communication, political semiotics, social semiotics, semiotics of culture, multimodal analysis, discourse analysis, interpersonal communication, history of ideas.
