Monica Ilie-Prica has a PhD in Communication Sciences, graduating from the SNSPA Doctoral School, and between 2019 and 2020 she was a postdoctoral researcher at the SNSPA Postdoctoral School. Previously, she graduated from the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations and the Master's Degree in Audio-Video Communication, at SNSPA. Since 2014, as an associate, she has been teaching courses and seminars, especially in the audiovisual field, such as Television Production (course and seminar, MAV, second year), Informational Discourse on Radio and Television (course and seminar, MAV, second year), Audio-Visual Communication (seminar, MAV, first year) and Advertising in Audio-Visual Media (seminar, Advertising, second academic year). Her areas of interest are television and film. Among her reference works are the doctoral thesis, published in 2019 and entitled "Romania's tourism promotion in the documentary film and its role in the consolidation of the country brand", "The image of women in film noirs and its impact on the contemporary public" (dissertation) and "The Impact of Television Series on Audiences", conducting a study on the "Dallas" TV series, for the Bachelor's Degree. Between 2014 and 2017 she was a member of the editorial board of the academic journal "Cinematographic Art & Documentation". She moderated eight episodes of the show "Observers to the European Parliament", a project dedicated to the Conference on the Future of Europe, with the support of the European Parliament. All episodes were broadcast by the Romanian Public Television (TVR) exclusively online and are available on the YouTube channel of TVR, the Facebook page of TVR 1, the Instagram account of TVR 1 and on the TVR+ platform.
