MA in Communication and Advertising
The MA program in Communication and Advertising targets candidates who are interested in a career in advertising, public relations, marketing or media. The students have access to relevant academic references and are encouraged to use critical thinking. Special focus is given to applied research, which employs theoretical frameworks and develops critical and methodological thinking in students, essential abilities for academic and professional excellence. Most candidates are graduates of programs in communication and public relations, journalism, modern languages, economic studies, humanities (philosophy, history). Our graduates work in public relations for various organisations (NGOs, multinationals), in advertising, marketing and branding, and journalism. The MA program focuses equally on practical approaches (through courses on advertising, marketing and branding, political communication, public relations) and theoretical input (through courses on the theory of communication, mass media, culture and communication, theory of argumentation). The academic staff are successful practitioners and researchers involved in various research grants.
