Florin Abraham is PhD habil in History, Associate Professor in Political Science at the Faculty of Communication of the National University of Political Science and Public Administration in Bucharest and senior researcher within the National Institute for the Study of Totalitarianism and. He also served as Member of the Board of the National Council for the Study of the Securitate Archives (NCSSA) in Bucharest (2012-2018). In 2016, he received the Academic Merit diploma, the highest scientific distinction awarded by the Romanian Academy. He has been Romaniaʼs representative in the Steering Committee of the European Network Remembrance and Solidarity since 2014.

Fields of research: political sciences, international relations and comparative politics, European modern history.
